Robins week 13

Week 13 - English

Reading - Our book this week is Pirate Adventures. Click on the link and answer the questions below.

Handwriting - Below is a handwriting activity for your child to complete - number formation. Each number has a starting dot and the colours fade as you move down for five rows. There are empty boxes for when your child have developed some confidence. Children can complete the activity on the printable worksheet or use the handwriting paper which can be printed off at home. Alternatively, we can provide you with handwriting books/paper packs. These can be collected from the school office.

Remember Year 1 children go to the Doves page for the learning this week.
EYFS
This week we are continuing with the Hungry Caterpillar story in class. Look at the presentation from last week for a link to the online story. We have added a range of activities to this page on our website for you to dip into. In class we are also writing our own bug stories using our imaginations. We will fold paper in half to make a booklet shape for us to use as our own books. Have fun exploring imaginary bug stories. You might want to watch the story of the Quiet Cricket by Eric Carle as well! Don't forget the more talk and discussion your child does about their story before writing the better their writing will be.
This week we have added a range of activities from various areas of the curriculum here. Over the week in class our EYFS children will each be making a junk model minibeast using a range of resources we find in and around our class. This might include twigs, paper, collage materials and much more! Please send in photos of your child's learning.

Year 1 children have a DT project this week that will support them in making a junk model alien by the end of the week. Please send in any photos of your child's learning.
