Mr Darren Gore

Chair of Governors & Named Governor for Safeguarding, Child Protection, Looked After Children, Health & Safety & Maths

I have been a resident of Benwick for the past 20 years and have had children in Benwick Primary School for the last 14 years, I currently have 2 children attending Benwick Primary School.

I work in the public sector and have done so for the past 11 years, most recently in a supervisory position. My job has provided me with training and experience dealing with safeguarding of vulnerable people including children, as well as dealing with children and adults when they are at their most vulnerable.
I have been a governor at Benwick since 2011 with a year's break in 2017, I am currently Chair to the governing body and have 9 years’ experience in that position.

I have always had Benwick Primary’s best intentions at heart as well as the progress and happiness of the children and will continue to do so.

You can contact me via my school email.

Mr Mark Goulbourne

I am a Management Accountant and currently work in Peterborough.

Mrs Clare Talbot

Headteacher

I have been teaching for 28 Years and have been lucky enough to work in several different counties, in all year groups, in a range of size and types of school.

When I moved back to the locality with my family, I took up the post of Headteacher at Benwick in January 2020, which is my second Headship. I have been part of school Senior Leadership Teams for over 16 years and have served on 4 different Governing Boards.

Mrs Siana Hay

Staff Governor & Named Governor for English

I have lived locally my whole life and have been working at Benwick Primary School for the past three years. My son currently attends the school and loves it!

In my spare time I am the Child Welfare Officer for my local football club. This role gives me an excellent insight into issues that children are facing, and the best ways to support them.
I have recently taken on the role of staff governor and I am enjoying being part of a team who are dedicated to supporting the school.

My aim is to offer any support I can to keep Benwick Primary School a safe and happy school, helping it to provide the best possible outcomes for the children who attend.

Miss Tamzin Daish

Named Governor for Equality

I have been living in Benwick since 2017 and love the village and community I’ve moved into. I currently have daughter in Benwick Primary School and because of this have a natural interest in the school, wanting the best not only for my child but those that she goes to school with.

I’ve realised recently that I have some spare time and would like to use it supporting the school in any way that I can. I like new challenges and look forward to this one becoming the best parent governor that I can be for the school.

Mr Rob Glozier

Co-opted Governor & Named Governor for Pupil Premium, SEND & PE

I have been a school governor at various schools, both as a staff governor and headteacher, for many years. I have also been a deputy and headteacher of schools in Cambridgeshire for 30 years (Alconbury / Benwick / Wisbech / Christchurch).

I am currently working as a cycle instructor for ‘Bikeablility’ and have the opportunity to visit a large number of schools in Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire.

Mrs Danielle Peacock

Parent Governor & Named Governor for Governor Training and EYFS

My Husband and I have been living just outside Benwick since 2014. We have three children and our eldest two attend Benwick Primary School. In my time as a Benwick parent, I have already been very impressed by the ethos of the school and the emphasis on building a supportive environment to ensure an excellent and rounded education for all children.

When my children were born, I took the decision to become a fulltime parent and support them though their early years. Raising them gave me first-hand experience of just how powerful a parent is as an educational support. I joined FOBS (Friends of Benwick School) as a way of helping support the school and this has helped me to meet other parents.

I have recently returned to my previous employer working on a migration project into a new IT platform. I have keen attention to detail and a strong drive to see a project through to completion. My role also involves developing new process and governance to ensure an effective outcome for all users. I spend a lot of time in my kitchen cooking, and I love to entertain family and friends.

Having been part of the school community, I look forward to helping to contribute to the success of the school and to offer development opportunities for our young people to enhance their skills, experiences and attributes to take forward in life.
