Week 9 - English

Creative Writing - Mario is a 2 week unit of work. Week 10 English will also focus on Mario, but will offer different activities.

Reading - The Life of Leonardo is our reading book for the week. Click on the link and answer the questions below.

Grammar - Recognising direct speech

Spellings - Year 2 and Year 3 spellings are below. You should practise spellings by writing them out and then using them in creative sentences. Use the following website to help with the learning and pronunciation of words: www.spellzone.com

Handwriting - Below is a cursive fluency and speed handwriting pack for you to complete over the next few weeks. Please refer carefully to the handwriting style used and look at the Benwick cursive alphabet model. I have attached a file with handwriting paper which can be printed off at home. Alternatively, we can provide you with handwriting books/paper packs. These can be collected from the school office.

Miss Wakefield - English Lead

Maths - Week 9

We have now finished the units of work that need to be covered in Year 2/3.  I have planned the remainder of the term as consolidation of previous learning.  The unit of work this week is based on prior learning from back in September - Place Value.
Remember to use TT Rockstars also every day to practice your times tables.  I regularly set battles with other classes.  Help us win!

National Bike week 6-14th June

Cycling has been a great release for many families during the pandemic and we hope you’ll continue to enjoy cycling with the family and celebrate by taking part in the Bike Week festivities between 6-14 June. It’s your chance to celebrate all that’s great about cycling.

The latest Government rules say although we have to maintain our social distancing and be at home where we can, unlimited exercise is now permitted.

To help keep families active during this time Cambridgeshire Road Safety Officers are promoting Cycling UK’s free Bike Week resource pack with indoor and outdoor activities you can do as a family. From cooking to colouring, to bike challenges, it’s got it all.
