Week 11 - English

Reading - Our book this week is The Seagull. Click on the link and answer the questions below.

Handwriting - Below is a handwriting activity for your child to complete - Read Write Inc Letter Formation (k -u). You will find the Read Write Inc Handwriting Rhymes, along with a YouTube link, on Week 9 Home Learning Page.
Please refer carefully to the handwriting style used and look at the Benwick cursive alphabet model too (also on Week 9 Home Learning Page). Children can complete the activity on the printable worksheet or use the handwriting paper which can be printed off at home. Alternatively, we can provide you with handwriting books/paper packs. These can be collected from the school office.

Miss Wakefield - English Lead
This week you will find separate plans for Year 1 and our EYFS children. We are linking with the Year 1 learning in Doves as many of our Year 1 children are in school now. Having the same planning will help our children at home have consistent learning with the children in school. If you have any questions please just ask!

PSHE - Wellbeing
Keeping active is  one of the 5 ways to wellbeing. The more active your are, outside if possible, the better you will feel.
Keep a simple daily dairy, in your exercise book (an adult can help with some of the writing), tracking your exercise and how you felt before and afterwards. e.g.

Monday - 10 minutes on the trampoline - before: I felt tired and grumpy  after: I felt excited and I was laughing (and hot)

Can you find at least 5 different types of activity you can do over the week? You could draw yourself doing each of these 5 activities.
