Week 10 - English
Creative Writing - We are continuing with our Mario work.
Reading - The Dinosaur Hunters is our reading book for the week. Click on the link and answer the questions below.
Grammar - Punctuating direct speech.
Spellings - Year 2 and Year 3 spellings are below. You should practise spellings by writing them out and then using them in creative sentences. Use the following website to help with the learning and pronunciation of words: www.spellzone.com
Handwriting - Continue with the fluency and speed handwriting pack (on Week 9 home learning page). Please refer carefully to the handwriting style used and look at the Benwick cursive alphabet model (also on Week 9 home learning page). I have attached a file with handwriting paper which can be printed off at home. Alternatively, we can provide you with handwriting books/paper packs. These can be collected from the school office.
Miss Wakefield - English Lead

Topic will be looking a little different from now. Instead of a topic grid of choices, we will providing  more in-depth resources on just a couple of areas of learning. This will change each week. Don't forget you can still access all the websites and other learning ideas that we provided in previous weeks' pages.

Continue the activities set on YUMU by Mrs Clutton.
In class, the children really enjoy GoNoodle.  There is a variety of physical activities on here which are really fun! https://www.gonoodle.com/
Its important in times like these, when its easiest to think and talk about negative issues, that we ALL take time to think about the things that make us happy. This is vital to our mental and physical wellbeing. The attached sheet could be printed or used for reference to prompt children to draw and write about some things that make them happy. My dog Bronte make me really happy and even on the worst of days always makes me smile and makes me feel loved. What will you draw and write about? (Parents, you could always do this exercise too, alongside your child!) Mrs Talbot
